Saturday reminder ✨🦋

Loneliness🌠 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is my office that’s ever changing but it’s my happy place. Sat at my laptop, ploughing through work and creating work that = radiates positivity. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Not only do I ‘blog’ I also do lots of other social media bits! Freelance💖. If you ever want help with your social media presence, drop me a message! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But this isn’t the purpose of this post. I wanted to tell you that I do get lonely sometimes. Although I’m an introverted person, I do crave human interaction too🤗 I love going to my gym because it’s like a little family away from my family. But I miss being in a team environment! When I feel a moment of loneliness, I get out, I go to the gym, I message a friend, I speak-up, I schedule a date night with (my bae or friend), I get myself up & out. It’s the only way I do it and it always fixes the feeling. However, recently, I’ve felt the loneliness a little bit stronger and this could be because of the terrible weather here in the UK or something else... How do you combat loneliness? Especially if you’re self-employed?💋 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👉Note to add: I would rather be self-employed than be in an employment that didn’t value my work, my health or my mental health 👏🏼👋🏼

🥋 LET ME TELL YOU THIS⤵️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For many years I was trapped in a relationship and felt scared and under threat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Throughout my life, I have experienced mental abuse, harassment, bullying & physical abuse not only from previous partners but from strangers, friends, family, colleagues and so much more😞 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The other day, I was approached by a male in the street. He made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and he had followed me home from my local gym. He tried to approach me and come in my personal space until I screamed and told him to leave me alone. He backed off and left. I thought he might have attacked me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For years, inside of me, I’ve been scared that without someone with me... Would I be able to protect myself?💭 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Well, let’s just say. I’ve been up to something and I’m taking the step forward to learn self-defense. This means that no matter where I am, I can control and protect my own body. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My dad has been doing karate for 40 years (far right) and he’s now teaching me! Let’s see how I get on! He teaches twice a week and has a huge passion for helping people become strong: physically and mentally. It’s a bit of fun but I’m learning a new life-saving skill at the same time 🙌... It’s ok to speak-up. Do it ✨

1 think I’ve learnt this week⤵️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📝 I have learnt the importance of speaking up and reaching out for help. I’ve learn that even if it feels a little stupid inside and it feels like no one will care... Someone will💕. Even if it’s not the closest to you, someone will understand your thoughts and trauma. I promise💓. They will understand, they will listen and they will support in a way they can. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I’ve been at my lowest, I’ve felt so alone, scared and helpless. To the point where I thought it was easier to lie down and never get up again. The reality is, there’s so many people out there that care but at the time of trauma, this flees your mind and you forget. You forget your worthiness and you forget the magic inside of you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What I want to tell you is that you are cared for. Don’t let your thoughts eat away at you, reach out for help & please don’t suffer in silence and sit in the dark. Don’t isolate your thoughts. Write them down, email them to a friend or cry it out until you feel a sense of relief. You’ve got this and I promise, people or someone will listen 👂.... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Last week💓, I experienced something that was a little strange. It was an anxiety episode but it made me think some terrible thoughts. When I stepped over that hurdle I realised it was because I seeked help and spoke to a loved one that I felt better. So just as a reminder, I’m sharing my own experience💕

You can’t please everyone, so it’s not worth trying. Read this caption from @jamessmithpt ⤵️ ⁣ You can’t be good all the time, so don’t expect to be.⁣ ⁣ Then really, the good can’t be the good without the bad.⁣ ⁣ Worse things happen to better people. ⁣⁣ You can’t control what happens to you but you can control how you feel about it. ⁣ ⁣ I think that a lot of issues with mental health can arise from expectations, comparing your behind the scenes to someone else’s social media highlight reel. ⁣ ⁣ Comparing your worst physique to someone’s airbrushed peak photoshoot after 12 weeks on poverty calories and cardio. ⁣ ⁣ Our brains and bodies are more primitive than we’d like to believe, our society and technology continues to evolve far faster than our DNA can. ⁣ ⁣ Comparison is the thief of joy, just worry about yourself and your own trajectory. Don’t follow c*cks on Instagram. ⁣ ⁣ Having problems is better than having no problems. You don’t need to have had a breakdown to reach out to a therapist for a talk. ⁣ ⁣ Also, check in with your mates who seem a bit off and even more with the mates who seem like they’re fine. ⁣ ⁣ I haven’t spoken about mental health in a while because I’m 10/10 right now and it occurred to me this morning it’s still a conversation to be had on a more frequent basis.⁣ ⁣ So, in essence. Worry about you, not someone you’ve never met and make a stupid comparison where you’ll ultimately be left deflated.⁣ ⁣ Then check in on the people around you, it could mean more to them than you could ever imagine. 🤙🏼⁣ ⁣ I had to re-share this caption.
