ANXIETY ➡️ When anxiety creeps up upon you, it can come as a shock. There sometimes can be warning symptoms or it can come completely out of the blue. When you’re experiencing anxiety, it can be hard to have normal thoughts and to push past the mental barriers. Because of this, it’s important that you have a toolkit of ideas on hand for moments of despair. Sometimes, the comfort of my own home can sometimes be a place I feel suffocated. So when I’m outside, I can breathe, I’m near nature and I instantly feel revitalised. Everyday, I am now making the effort to have 30 minutes outside walking.. I walk to the gym, I get off the tube one stop earlier or I’ll go out for a walk after my lunch 💚 . This has helped my mindset and it’s really helped me stay sane in moments of craziness. Don’t gravitate to this tip for when you feel anxious... Start implementing the walks outside now. You’ll notice an amazing difference. Now I’m in the North a lot more, I walk beside the seaside. I listen to podcasts or music whilst I’m walking and it’s the most the relaxing thing ever🔆! Sometimes, I’ll even take a warm drink with me. Allll the warmth🥰! Don’t underestimate the power of nature and the great outdoors. KOMBUCHA... WHAAAAT? ➡️ In short➡️🥰, Remedy Kombucha (often known as “booch”) is a fermented drink that is delicious and healthy💚😌. The traditional method of making kombucha – which they follow at Remedy @remedydrinks – involves a natural fermentation of sweet tea 🍵, wild healthy bacteria 🦠 and yeasts. WHY ME? ➡️ The other day, I was browsing some charity shops and I opened a book to this page... It instantly made me smile🥰 and I had to capture the quote for everyone else! Have you ever been in a situation where it feels like nothing is going right... Have you ever had a moment of negativity and asked yourself ‘why is this happening to me?’... Yeah, I have been in that situation many times and I can relate. When things are ‘going wrong’... In fact, they’re going in the right direction, you just may not be able to see it yet. Your relationship might not be working because something greater is going to happen.. Or maybe you’re being tested to see how strong you are as a couple❤️. Your job might not have worked out because you’re destined for greater things and you just needed some additional experience❣️. A friend might have let you down.. But let’s face it, they probably weren’t a ‘friend’ anyway and now, you have seen their true colours☀️. A relationship didn’t work out.. Because it wasn’t the right time and at this moment, you need to discover some things alone for a while and then you’ll be ready. Everything we experience is prepping us for greater things. Just because things ‘don’t work out’ the way we planned them to, doesn’t mean that the world is against us. Don’t lose faith. EMBRACING CHANGE ➡️ Embracing a change of environment. Embracing new relationships. Embracing moments of change towards loneliness. Embracing a change in your career. Embracing a change of lifestyle. Embracing a change of location. Embracing a change of direction.... Do I need to go on? Change occurs in our life everyday - without us even seeing it ♥️ big changes do make more of a noise in our life but it’s important to realise that each day is a day closer to the goals you’ve always wanted to reach. For the past few years, I have had to embrace change like never before. I have had to embrace a change of location numerous times, I’ve had to embrace moments on my own without being in a relationship with someone (it’s been awesome!!👏🏼🥰), I have had to embrace new jobs and career directions and I’ve had to embrace every feeling and emotion I’ve experienced ♥️ ‘change’ really is one of the greatest things. NEGATIVITY ➡️ Anyone else have moments of being a ‘negative Nancy’? Yes, me too. I have worked endlessly to snap myself out of bad moods. Long soaks in the bath, long walks, listening to my favourite podcasts, working out in the gym, writing things down, talking to someone, going to bed earlier, switching off social media... Need I say more? 👀 ... But ultimately, we feel guilt sometimes if we do feel negative or unhappy. What I want to remind you... Is that no matter your mood.. Embrace it. Brush yourself down and start again. ❤️ it’s ok to feel rubbish sometimes and it’s ok to have low moments of negativity. We’re human and we have feelings. But remember, nothing is fun if you’re negative 😖 so don’t let it rule your day... HELL YES TO CARBS ➡️ For many years, I tried to avoid carbohydrates... Crazy right!?! Because I thought they made me ‘fat’... When I fact, they’re a huge part of a healthy balanced diet. In fact, carbs make me thrive and I think they’re pretty damn delicious. One of my favourite meals is a healthy tomato 🍅 pasta dish... I keep things simple with veggies, chicken, tinned tomatoes, a few spices and a spoonful of @sacla_uk sun-dried tomato pesto ☀️🍅👏🏼 The pesto from @sacla_uk truly infuses this dish with Italian authenticity and adds a whole new dimension to an ordinary tomato pasta dish. BEING CALLED FAT ➡️ I want to tell you... That no matter what anyone says about you... It’s not true. The most important opinion you need to take the interest of... Is your own. Cultivating self-love and loving every damn inch of your body is so important. I am inspired by @ginaswire & @lorrainepascale daily and I love their accounts for empowerment and positivity. We need to stand by our own beliefs and always love ourselves for what we are, self-love takes time and it's continuous. At the end of the day, your greatest competition is yourself. Most recently, I have received numerous comments off people about my weight and it’s about time I addressed this and shared my thoughts. From a none sexist angle, it’s been men that have approached me inside and outside of the gym recently and have called me ‘fat’ or made remarks about my weight gain. Yes, I have gained weight and I feel pretty damn good for it. In fact, since gaining weight, I’ve gained a social life, a menstrual cycle and I’ve gained so much more happiness. However, for a split moment, these comments did have a negative impact on me. But I turned around and told each individual that I am much happier now and excess fat or skin does not define anyone. Just because I don’t have a six-pack anymore... DOES NOT mean I am fat or unhealthy. A six-pack does not equal health or happiness. In fact, when I had a six-pack, I was incredibly depressed and exhausted. What I want you to know is that you need to work hard to be the best version of yourself - Inside and outside of the gym. Not to prove anyone wrong but to prove to yourself that you’re capable. I won’t let any negativity dampen my gym spirits ❤️ Let’s raise each other UP rather than pulling each other down.
