Positively Packing A Paper Tote For Ibiza

Happy Tuesday everyone! This week I am bringing you my essentials for a short trip to Ibiza. Whether you’re the all-night raver, the boho spiritual chick or a beach babe, I have considered a product for each element and a few additional extras.

Of course, these products can be carried with you throughout your day-to-day adventures. These items resonate with Ibiza perfectly but they can also be used in the cold climates of England. If you’re a foodie and you love to have some downtime, I have those bits covered too.

Ok, so first things first, whenever you visit a new destination it’s important to do your research prior to going. Climate, culture and much more. You need to be prepared for every situation and feel 100% ready to embrace the lifestyle of your location.

Whenever I am out exploring I love to have a bag packed with the essentials. This method of carrying the essentials has saved me money and has also saved many situations. I think having a tote bag full of goodies and go-to’s is my inner ‘mum’ coming out in me! & of course, because I am a Virgo, I love to be over prepared for any situation.

The basics to consider first (these items are for a tote bag that can be carried around your destination. Remember, you can purchase some of these items at your destination! So don’t panic).

  • A bottle of water
  • A deodorant that doesn’t melt and lasts in the sunshine and the additional toiletries you use.
  • Insect repellent – keep the bugs and bites at bay. This can come in handy if you’re around greenery or exploring late into the evening.
  • Flip flops – it’s always good to take a change of shoes. Switch things up throughout the day or change in the evening.
  • An itinerary – as I had a full schedule planned for Ibiza, I ensured I carried my itinerary with me everywhere with other information I had researched about the different locations. Do your research prior to exploring and you won’t miss the valuable places!
  • A tangle teezer they’re awesome!
  • Sun cream
  • Trainers & socks! – whilst I was in Ibiza my activities were very mixed and varied throughout the day. Sunrise yoga was beautiful and my trainers came in handy here.
  • Sunglasses! Yes, of course. The climate in Ibiza is hot, sunny and totally sunkissed.
  • The Lonely Planet Pocket Ibiza – Iain Stewart – reading material and a good research guide.

The exciting products I discovered in Ibiza with UK Renew Life

All of the products featured in this image will be linked below. I have selected some of my favourites to feature in this blog post only.

My Paper Tote

Use: Jessica15 for 15% off your purchase!!!

Paper bags made from FSC Certified paper pulp, MPT are environmentally appropriate during production and are 100% sustainable.

I am a lover of accessorising and I love to express my personality through the selected accessories I use. I love anything shiny, bright and vibrant. This tote bag definitely channels my inner Ibiza glamour chick as well as adding a touch of class and diversity to any outfit. I used this bag in the evening and throughout the day beside the pool. Yes, it’s a transitional piece and it is the perfect accessory.

Chloe the founder of My Paper Tote is now proud to bring out the wonderful bag made from washable paper. I love anything stationery based and anything that involves crafts and creativity. So when I realised this bag was created from tear resistant, reusable, washable and beautifully crafted strong paper it made me realise how Chloe has truly brought paper to life. Chloe has given the paper a whole new purpose, in a modern and functional way.

What I love about this bag is its funky appearance, its quality and its durability. It can easily be packed away in a carry-on suitcase and it is 100% washable – which is brilliant when you’re exploring the beaches abroad or commuting in the polluted areas of the UK.

Explore how to wash the bag and much more over on the My Paper Tote website. They are launching a rose gold backpack soon, I definitely have my eyes on that too!

“Our go-to material is more often than not leather, chosen for its strength and looks, but this often gives us a heavy bag with the unfriendly environmental issues associated with the material. The paper we use is strong and flexible which makes it a rival to leather in feel, look, and durability. All of our bags are created with daily life in mind” Chloe – The founder of My Paper Tote.

Night Cream and Lip and Skin Care

Long days and late evenings require some healthy skincare and lip care. Although having a diet rich in vitamins and minerals is essentially the basis of the skin, the skincare you use can also aid healthy skin too and encourage a more hydrated complexion.

Night Cream – The first product I loved whilst in Ibiza was the Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Night Cream – this product is versatile, rich and healing. I used this product throughout the day too for extra hydration.

My skincare routine is minimal because my skin can become extremely sensitive. When I researched more into Burt’s Bees I realised that this product was made with 99% natural ingredients, it helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, it absorbs quickly and it is Dermatologist Tested and Noncomedogenic. It has reduced the dry skin around my nose and lips and it has invigorated my skin with a beautiful glow. But let’s not forget the gorgeous subtle infusion of Clary Sage, this is a true superpower product and has made me want to explore more of the Burt’s Bees products.

Lip and Skin Gel – in the heat, my skin can become irritated and cracked, the same goes for my nails and my lips. Whenever I am on-the-go I don’t want to be carrying lots of products that all do different things. I want 1 product that does it all and I have found the solution! I am all for natural beauty and using products that are kinder to the skin.

Sukin an Australian natural skincare company has created a Petrochemical-Free versatile ointment which is infused with Fermented Paw Paw – this nourishes and soothes chapped lips and dehydrated skin. Natural ingredients, multipurpose and will reduce dryness, itching, redness and will improve the texture of the skin. Awesome!

AQUIS Hair Towel

Travel-friendly, hair friendly and awesome for the people who are short on time!

Throughout the years I have been told about the vulnerability of my hair when it has just been washed. How we dry our hair is, in fact, the key to strong and healthy hair and if you’re always in a rush like me, this can be a simple step in a haircare routine that is overlooked.

I wash my hair and scrub it using a usual bath towel, this is not recommended! Heavy towels can worsen the texture of the hair and encourage breakage. Sometimes, my hair isn’t always 100% dry and I’ll always grab my styling product soon after, this is another concept that isn’t recommended. The wet patches of hair can weaken and become damaged. Amongst many other bad habits, the strength of our hair will decrease if we don’t have a solution. We are all wanting a quick fix and something that is easy to do, so when I discovered the AQUIS Hair Towel I was totally overwhelmed.

Aquitex is the secret to how AQUIS Hair Towels and Turbans work. This is a lightweight drying system which is made from ultra-fine fibres. These fibres are woven to create channels that quickly remove water away from hair – without damaging cuticles or causing friction. “The absorbed water is efficiently distributed across the fabric while continuing to dry hair at the point of contact. This helps minimize the swelling and stretching of hair, protecting its integrity. The result is stronger, healthier, more manageable hair” – AQUIS.

I used this towel throughout the day and it has now become my go-to whenever I am travelling or washing my hair throughout the week. It’s cut my drying time in half and has ensured my hair stays in a better condition. I am very pleased because I pay a lot for the hairdressers and certainly don’t want this going to waste.

Hand Sanitizer

If you’re on-the-go it’s important to keep the germs at bay and always carry some hand sanitizer with you. The only problem, the majority of hand sanitizers I have used come with a chemically overpowering scent. When I came across the lollipop scented hand cleansing gel from Merci Handy UK I was totally overwhelmed and wanted to cover my whole body with this delicious stuff! This addictive smelling product is pocket-sized (perfect for travelling) and leaves your hands feeling soft and delicately perfumed.

They are also doing a cute Limited Edition gel which comes with a “tee-shirt” like design and once revealed it shows a wonderful pair of boobs. The branding of this gel is a subtle reminder to encourage you to look after your body. All proceeds of this gel are donated to Coppafeel!

Prior to this trip, I had never really had supplements before and I always wanted to heal myself through various other methods. After learning about the importance of gut health in Ibiza with Renew Life UK. I have now started my full course of Ultimate Flora Women’s Formula tablets (these aren’t the ones in the picture, I was prescribed these by Dr Sara who is a certified doctor with Renew Life UK. – full blog post coming soon!).

The Ultimate Flora Women’s Formula contains 50 billion types of bacteria from 9 specific strains that were chosen for their prevalence in a healthy vagina and urinary tract. Ultimate Flora Women’s Formula can help to treat chronic yeast infections and urinary tract infections in a healthy and natural way. These infections can usually occur when you’re away in hot climates or swimming in the sea.

“The best way to boost your chances of avoiding yeast overgrowth is to alter your diet and use supplements that support your body in its anti-Candida efforts. Taking supplemental probiotics in order to maintain the health of the digestive tract is crucial in helping rid the body of Candida long-term. Probiotic supplements help restore optimal digestive health and are one of the first things required in order to bring back a healthy balance of beneficial bacteria” – UK Renew Life.

Before taking any supplements please ask your doctor and please do your research. As I have outlined, these were prescribed to me and I will be doing a full review when I have done the 30-60 day course.

Snack time

My favourite part. Of course. The food. I always like to ensure I am prepared when I am travelling and a high-protein snack is always my go-to. Another new find whilst I was away was the The Protein Ball Co. Chocolate Orange balls of goodness. These little chocolate gems, taste just like indulgent chocolate truffles but without the added nasties! – gluten-free, no egg whites, all natural, no soy, vegetarian, wheat-free, no GMO’S, no-added-sugar and all of the whey protein is sourced from grass-fed cows. These are great in the hot weather and taste awesome on their own or sprinkled over yoghurt.

Reading Time

Relaxing, re-energising and totally switching off. When I go abroad or travel anywhere for leisure, I love to take some well-deserved time-out. When I was in Ibiza I met the wonderful Rebecca Dennis – author, coach, workshop leader and the founder of the Breathing Tree with a practice at Indaba Yoga in Central London.

Rebecca has suffered from severe depression and anxiety and it led her down many dark roads which became suffocating and began to control her. Rebecca discovered Transformational Breath and it completely turned her life around. Rebecca’s story really resonated with me and made me intrigued to explore her book and her breathing practice. Rebecca studied the breath technique Transformational Breath and now carries this out throughout her life and helps to teach others.

Rebecca specialises in treating issues such as stress, anxiety, addiction, depression, trauma, sleeping and physical problems. Rebecca has a true passion for sharing her knowledge on how to heal the body through Transformational Breath and she believes conscious breathwork is the true way to inner happiness, well-being and peace.

I experienced one of her classes and left feeling re-energised, detoxed and totally at peace within my own body. My muscles felt relaxed and my mind was in a complete sense of relaxation. Honestly, this class took my breath away and I felt completely at ease with being emotional and letting go. Be prepared to unwind, relax and fall deep into a relaxed state of mind. I have never experienced anything like this before. Remarkable and highly recommended. Her book is an extension of her passion, drive and her knowledge. Another fabulous read.
