Eating Out and Getting Back on Track.

Hurray! You have made it to my 16th blog post. This week’s post is of course all about my love for food (how ironic)!

These past few days I have been able to indulge in some beautiful food alongside some healthy home cooked meals. As I have previously said breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and I love the fact I can kick start the day in the right way with some healthy goodness coming from fresh pressed juices, oats topped with fruit/nuts and Greek yoghurt topped with seeds, fruit and linseed.

Alongside, this I do look forward to every meal I indulge in. Even though I have eaten some yummy foods this week and been able to catch up with friends I have begun to feel sluggish and run down. The majority of the time my diet (healthy lifestyle) helps me feel energised and refreshed. However, having time away from my healthy lifestyle has left me feeling extremely bloated and a little bit ‘’ugh’’!

I have begun to compare myself to other people and have begun to be brainwashed by what I see on social media. This is something that frustrates me so much as whoever you are you should feel comfortable in your own skin and embrace the features you have. The fact that I have begun to do this myself is because I feel truly deep inside I am not seeing results. However, if I continue to work hard and stay on track I should be happy again soon. Results do not happen overnight, which I have to accept as part of the process.

Do we all have down days where we feel sluggish and horrible? Do we compare and question ourselves if we are good enough? I feel like sometimes it is just me on my own! I hate complaining, as there are a lot more things in the world to worry about and take action on. If we cannot love ourselves we simply cannot love anybody else properly.

‘’What is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself.’’ = Anna Quindlen.

The Internet is surrounded by bikini beautiful ladies drinking cocktails and having a ‘’dream body.’’ However, life isn’t just about that. Yet we all continue to allow social media to take over our perceptions on true beauty. This worries me and I am determined to not let this bother me and to shake this phase off.

I did not want to post anything negative on my blog as I want this to be a positive space on the Internet. Whether anybody reads it or not. I want it to be positive. However, in my ”about” me page I outline that I shall share my journey along the way and this is part of my journey of discovering myself and overcoming the challenges that I face. Who cares what people think? At the end of the day, we are in charge of our own happiness. Let’s take action!

Anyway, why not have a good nosey at the yummy foods I have been eating! Some healthy and some yummy puddings. I would love to know if anybody else goes through phases like this. What do you do to help get back on track?

The food looks so delicious! And I know what you mean about getting yourself down when you see people with “bikini bodies” on social media and compare your progress to theirs, but your positive mind set is so refreshing! 🙂 xxx

Aw the food was delicious! All these places I recommend. Ugh. Yeah I tend to get like this every month when I’m feeling down, I don’t know whether its people around me or just myself getting negative. Drives me crazy! Thank you so much, that certainly means a lot xxxx
